FARM YARDS Consider letting odd areas grow wild if they do not interfere with normal farming operations. To the extent possible, limit the area of mown lawn – you’ll save on fuel and time and create habitat. In areas around your house, buildings, and barns, consider establishing native plants in your landscaping with a significant flower component and several milkweed plants. When adding native plants, include different flower types that bloom in the spring, summer, and fall to expand the benefits to pollinators and other wildlife.
